Benjamin Védrines Completes Solo Winter Ascent of the Petit Dru

French alpinist Benjamin Védrines has achieved a daring solo winter ascent of the North Face of the Petit Dru (3,733m) in the Mont Blanc massif. He completed the climb in an astounding 8 hours and 45 minutes, following the historic Pierre-Alain route.

Battling temperatures of -20°C, Védrines described the climb as intense, committing, and deeply fulfilling. His achievement adds to a legacy of elite solo winter ascents on this notorious granite peak.

Chris Bonington: Legendary British Mountaineer

French Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing (FFME)

The French Federation of Mountaineering and Climbing (FFME) governs climbing, mountaineering, and related sports in France.
