Grossglockner: Austria’s Majestic Alpine Giant
Rising to 3,798 meters (12,461 feet), Grossglockner is the highest mountain in Austria and one of the most iconic peaks in the Eastern Alps. Located within the Hohe Tauern range on the border of Tyrol and Carinthia, it attracts thousands of climbers, hikers, and nature enthusiasts each year.
First successfully climbed in 1800, Grossglockner has become a symbol of Austrian mountaineering heritage. The mountain overlooks the famous Pasterze Glacier, the largest glacier in Austria, and serves as the centerpiece of the Hohe Tauern National Park.

Jaipur mountaineer Neelima Arora has achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the first woman with thalassemia minor to successfully summit Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak at 8,849 meters. Her achievement is being celebrated as both a personal triumph and a powerful symbol of resilience.
Despite living with thalassemia minor, a genetic blood condition that can present unique physical challenges, Neelima refused to let limitations define her ambitions. Through years of preparation, determination, and unwavering perseverance, she reached the summit of Everest, proving that courage and dedication can overcome even the toughest obstacles.

Vince Anderson: Master of Modern Alpine Climbing
Vince Anderson is an American mountaineer, mountain guide, and writer recognized as one of the leading figures in modern alpine climbing. Based in Colorado, Anderson has built a reputation for tackling some of the world's most challenging mountains using lightweight, alpine-style techniques.
His most celebrated achievement came in 2005 when he and fellow climber Steve House completed the first ascent of the Central Pillar of the Rupal Face on Nanga Parbat in Pakistan. This demanding route, climbed in pure alpine style, earned the pair the prestigious Piolet d'Or, often considered mountaineering's highest honor.
Beyond Nanga Parbat, Anderson has completed notable first ascents on peaks such as K7 West in Pakistan's Karakoram Range and Mount Alberta in the Canadian Rockies. His climbs are admired for their technical difficulty, commitment, and emphasis on self-reliance.

Irish Mountaineering Club: Over 75 Years of Adventure
Founded in 1948, the Irish Mountaineering Club (IMC) is one of Ireland’s oldest and most respected mountaineering organizations. Originally established by pioneering climbers including Bill Perrott and Joss Lynam, the club played a key role in developing Ireland’s climbing culture and continues to inspire outdoor enthusiasts today.
The IMC welcomes climbers, hikers, hillwalkers, and mountaineers of all experience levels. Throughout the year, members participate in rock climbing, hiking, alpine trips, training programs, and international expeditions. One of its most popular initiatives is the annual introductory traditional climbing program, designed to help newcomers safely develop climbing skills.
A unique feature of the club is its mountain hut in Glendasan, near Glendalough in the Wicklow Mountains, providing affordable accommodation and a base for outdoor adventures.
