Cody brings more than thirty years of varied climbing experience to the Namah team. He started climbing in the foothills of the Sandia Mountains, just behind his hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico, as a pre-teen. At the age of seventeen, he was the Junior North American champion of his age group, and at 19, he was making the podium of US national competitions

Now at 42, Cody continues to do all that he can to put in a good showing for his age, whilst managing work responsibilities and the inevitability of adulthood. He loves bolting routes as much as he loves climbing itself, and having traded the US for Italy eight years ago, he resides in Umbria, in a little stone house with his wife Melissa and their rescue dog, Frankie. Although he’s traveled the globe to climb, these days Cody is mainly focused on climbing locally in his nearby Valnerina, along with the crags of Grotti.

A climber and mountaineer at heart, Jerome spends much of his time travelling around the world in search of remote and untouched climbing areas, discovering new lines, and setting up routes in some of the most spectacular places on the planet. He also works as a mountain guide, primarily in the Alps, where he gets to combine his technical experience with his passion for helping others experience the mountains.

Among all the places he has explored, Patagonia and the Karakoram hold a special place for him: wild, remote, demanding, and exactly the kind of terrain that keeps him coming back for more.

Outside the mountains, Jerome is a dad and lives in L'Argentière, France, a small mountain town in the heart of the Alps. Between guiding, climbing, travelling, route development, and family life, finding balance isn't always easy, but for Jerome, that's part of the adventure.

For him, the mountains aren't simply a workplace or a playground. They are a way of life.

Martina and Erik are a climbing couple based in Lazio, Italy. Erik, originally from Ukraine and raised near Rome, started climbing in 2021, while Martina, born in Rome and raised in Anzio, discovered vertical climbing in late 2023. Since joining forces in early 2024, they’ve become inseparable both in life and on the wall, with Sperlonga as their go-to sport climbing crag. While they enjoy pushing grades, their true passion lies in the mountains, big-wall multi-pitches, ice climbing, and winter mixed alpinism. Gran Sasso is their favorite multi-pitch destination, where they’ve climbed lines like Golem, alongside iconic routes such as Don Chisciotte on Marmolada’s South Face and Via degli Svizzeri on the Grand Capucin in the Mont Blanc massif.

For Martina and Erik, climbing is less about competition or numbers and more about respect for nature, safety, and inclusivity. Martina’s return to the rocks after a serious crag accident in June 2024 has strengthened their commitment to promoting safer, more mindful outdoor practices. And joining them on every adventure is their formidable mascot. She may be terrified of thunder, but at the base of the crag, she is a fearless force of nature, mostly dedicated to stealing and ruthlessly chewing up boulder brushes.
