Satyadeep Gupta

Indian mountaineer Satyadeep Gupta made history by becoming the first person to scale Mt Everest and Mt Lhotse twice in one season. He achieved this remarkable feat on May 28, 2024, by reaching the summit of the 8,516-metre-high Mt Lhotse at noon and the 8,849-metre-high Mt Everest at 12:45 AM. Gupta completed the traverse from Everest to Lhotse in a record time of 11 hours and 15 minutes, accompanied by guides Pastemba Sherpa and Nima Ungdi Sherpa. He had previously summited both peaks in May 2024, showcasing his exceptional climbing skills and determination.
