Tallest Mountain
Mount Everest often dominates conversations about the world’s highest peaks due to its towering height above sea level.
However, when we consider the measurement from base to peak, Hawaii’s Mauna Kea emerges as the true giant. Standing proudly at 13,796 feet above sea level, what makes Mauna Kea truly remarkable is its vast expanse below the Pacific Ocean, which extends about 19,700 feet.
This means that its total height surpasses even that of Everest. Such nuances in geographical measurements remind us of the diverse and wondrous world of mountains that await our exploration.
